Overview

The Aircraft Defensive Systems Design Engineer & Equipment Manager will be responsible for the engineering design, integration, test, certification, and hardware/software management for aircraft defensive hardware systems as part of the Boeing KC-46 Mission Systems team.

In Short

  • Lead and support engineering design and development for defensive hardware systems.
  • Collaborate on system integration and operational capability of various programs.
  • Oversee testing and validation of designs against system requirements.
  • Provide leadership in technical management of suppliers and software teams.
  • Support proposal development and conduct trade studies for upgrades.
  • Ensure compliance with FAA, military certification, and airworthiness activities.
  • Conduct troubleshooting and technical issue investigations.
  • Work on-site at Everett or Tukwila, WA.
  • Must obtain a U.S. Security Clearance.
  • Relocation assistance may be available.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field.
  • 3+ years experience with FAA and/or Military certification requirements.
  • Experience with Radio Frequency engineering principles.
  • Data analysis and Root Cause Corrective Action experience.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Ability to collaborate in a team environment.
  • Experience with Technical Subcontract Management.
  • Experience developing and evaluating aircraft maintenance requirements.
  • Experience leading teams/projects preferred.
  • Experience in software development processes preferred.
