Overview

The Controller position at The Ambr Group involves leading a team and overseeing various accounting operations in a high-growth e-commerce environment.

In Short

• Reports directly to the CFO and is part of the Accounting & Finance team.
• Requires strong technical accounting knowledge and leadership skills.
• Oversees day-to-day operations including general ledger accounting and payroll.
• Manages the financial close process and prepares financial performance reports.
• Participates in cash flow analysis and tax filing for multiple states.
• Coordinates capital expenditures and product costing activities.
• Ensures compliance with financial regulations and tax laws.
• Participates in special projects as needed.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting; CPA preferred.
• 8-10 years of experience in accounting roles.
• 3-5 years in leadership roles like Controller or Accounting Manager.
• Thorough understanding of accounting principles.
• Experience with financial statement preparation and ERP systems.
• Strong MS Office skills, especially in Excel.
• Proficiency with e-commerce platforms preferred.
• Strong understanding of internal controls.
