Assistant Manager, Marketing & Communications - Remote

Overview

The Ad Council is looking for an Assistant Manager, Marketing & Communications who will play a key role in creating, crafting and driving the overarching communications strategies for the Ad Council’s social impact campaigns.

In Short

• Assist in developing and implementing PR/social media programs.
• Manage external agencies and freelancers.
• Update campaign managers and clients on PR and social media activities.
• Draft press releases, pitches, and social media posts.
• Conduct background research on reporters and potential spokespeople.
• Collaborate with the website content team for minor content changes.
• Manage approvals for social media content and editorial calendar.
• Occasional travel (5%) for campaign launches and events.

Requirements

• 1+ years’ experience in social media, corporate communications, or public relations.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Fluency with public relations tactics and social strategies.
• Keen strategic thinking and problem-solving skills.
• Organized and detail-oriented, thriving in fast-paced environments.
• Ability to work collaboratively with staff.
• Strong computer skills, experience with MS Office and Google applications.
• Passion for social good causes is a plus.
