Japanese Translator - Remote

Overview

The Japanese Translator is responsible for the translation into Japanese of all our events announcements, pages, description and content. As well as the content of our online and in person courses such as Joy of Living and Vajrayana Online. The Japanese translator will create subtitles for video material. The Japanese Translator will work under the guidance of our Translation unit coordinators.

In Short

• Translating written content from Tergar events, emails, and online courses from English into Japanese.
• Creation of subtitles.
• Proofread and edit Japanese translations.
• Interpreted live events for various speakers.
• Responsible for interpreting and translating teachings without altering meaning and style.

Requirements

• Native Japanese speaker.
• Must reside in the Americas or Europe.
• Fluent in English.
• Exceptional writing, editing, and verbal communication skills in Japanese.
• Knowing the Tibetan language is a plus.
• Experience with Dharma (Buddhist) content is required.
• Strong computer skills and ability to become proficient in relevant software for translation.
• Demonstrated ability to manage and deliver multiple projects on schedule.
• Meticulous attention to detail.
• Exceptional organizational skills.
