Project Estimator - Remote

Overview

The Project Estimator is responsible for pricing, coordinating activities needed to finalize quoting, and interpreting electrical specifications and drawing requirements for project quotations to ensure the highest percentage of profit.

• Convert written specifications and construction drawings into submittals for customer requests for quotes.
• Determine most cost-effective options to meet project specifications.
• Respond to inquiries from customers.
• Build strong relationships with vendors/suppliers.
• Negotiate pricing and clarify material specifications with suppliers.
• Maintain proper files for product quotes.
• Supervise proposal negotiations.
• Gather necessary information for preparing customer quotations.
• Communicate with customers during the bidding process.
• Meet all quotation submittal deadlines.

Requirements

• Strong knowledge of electrical construction and products.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong written communication skills.
• Excellent time management and organizational skills.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Strong strategic thinking and analytical skills.
• PMP certification preferred with 5 years’ experience in the electrical industry.
• Proven track record with project estimating.
