Overview

The Accounts Receivable Administrator I (Patient Support) at Tandem Diabetes Care is responsible for managing inbound billing inquiries from patients and healthcare professionals, ensuring accurate resolution and documentation of communications.

In Short

  • Manage inbound billing inquiries via phone and email.
  • Assess interactions to identify underlying needs.
  • Document all communications in the CRM system.
  • Provide clear guidance on billing status and payment options.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to resolve issues.
  • Ensure compliance with HIPAA and other regulations.
  • Meet performance metrics for quality and responsiveness.
  • Work in a hybrid or remote capacity.
  • Participate in required training.
  • Other responsibilities as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
  • 2 years of experience in medical billing.
  • Understanding of insurance claim processing.
  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
  • Experience with MS Office and CRM systems.
  • Knowledge of HIPAA regulations.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Experience in a HIPAA controlled environment preferred.
  • Experience in billing durable medical equipment preferred.
  • Experience in diabetes management preferred.
