We are seeking a skilled Heavy Duty Mechanic to fulfill a crucial role for one of our esteemed clients at a remote fly-in camp in Nunavut. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the maintenance and repair of heavy machinery used in mining operations, ensuring optimal performance and adherence to safety standards.

In Short

• Maintain equipment availability through preventive maintenance schedules.
• Troubleshoot and resolve equipment deficiencies.
• Work with various heavy machinery including Loaders, Dozers, and Excavators.
• Assess vehicle performance through test drives.
• Keep accurate records of services and repairs.
• Ensure workshop equipment remains operational.
• Be prepared to work in remote locations.
• Manage inventory and track supplies.
• Participate in daily toolbox meetings.
• Uphold corporate safety standards.

Requirements

• Journeyperson-Certified Heavy-Duty Mechanic/Interprovincial Red Seal Certification.
• 3-5 years of experience in maintenance of mining equipment.
• Previous experience in a remote camp setting preferred.
