Data Engineer - Remote

Overview

SweedPos is a product-driven startup building an all-in-one cannabis retail platform. We’re looking for a Data Engineer to join us remotely and help scale and optimize our platform.

In Short

• Design, build, and maintain data pipelines using Airflow and Trino.
• Improve data quality and reliability through monitoring and validation.
• Develop and maintain the platform in AWS cloud.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define data requirements.
• Optimize performance and cost of data operations.
• Document data assets clearly.
• 3+ years of experience in data engineering.
• Strong proficiency in SQL and Python.
• Experience with OLAP databases and data processing frameworks.
• Proactive and adaptable team members are valued.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in data engineering or related field.
• Strong proficiency in SQL and Python.
• Hands-on experience with Airflow for workflow management.
• Familiarity with data modeling and best practices.
• Knowledge of event-based data architectures.
• Bonus: Experience with IaC tools like Terraform.
• Critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to adapt in a fast-evolving industry.
