Mortgage Outside Sales Loan Officer - Remote

Overview

Self-Sourced Mortgage Loan Originator who originates, reviews and evaluates mortgage loan applications and make recommendations; counsels’ members regarding appropriate financial planning and practices; makes certain that members receive superior quality of service in line with the "close and caring touch" described in SLFCU's mission statement.

In Short

• Assist in growing the credit union membership by self-sourcing mortgage applicants.
• Interview and process mortgage loan requests through various channels.
• Provide a superior member experience through active listening and targeted solutions.
• Demonstrate proficiency in all mortgage loan products except construction loans.
• Educate members on financial planning and loan options.
• Strive to exceed sales goals through member relationship development.
• Assist with SEG development and maintain industry partnerships.
• Meet or exceed origination goals set by management.
• Complete registration with the NMLS and keep data updated.
• Participate in mortgage seminars and related events.

Requirements

• Minimum three years’ experience in mortgage loans.
• Ability to compare products and cross-sell effectively.
• Good understanding of lending laws and guidelines.
• Solid knowledge of Microsoft Office and mortgage software.
• Bachelor's degree in business or related field preferred.
• Exceptional interpersonal skills and relationship management.
• Strong verbal/written communication skills.
• Ability to ensure accurate documentation.
• Must pass SAFE Act requirements.
• Strong business judgment and understanding of tax returns.
