Field Service Technician - Remote

Overview

The Field Service Technician will provide customer service and technical support for Steinert Separation Equipment, focusing on repair and maintenance through on-site visits or phone support.

In Short

• Commissioning new equipment at customer sites.
• Repairing rotors, magnets, and motors in the field and repair center.
• Diagnosing mechanical and electrical issues with equipment.
• Providing phone support for equipment failures.
• Updating the Steinert database regarding equipment status.
• Producing written reports on repairs and quality issues.
• Assisting sales staff with technical presentations.
• Coordinating travel arrangements for service visits.
• Providing technical training to staff as needed.
• Maintaining knowledge of Steinert’s products and services.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in servicing large capital equipment.
• Preferred experience in scrap metal or waste recycling.
• Associate's degree in Electronics or Mechanical Engineering.
• Proficient in English.
• Ability to work with CAD drawings and troubleshoot electrical systems.
• Knowledge of AC/DC controls and motors.
• Valid passport or ability to obtain one.
• Willingness to travel up to 80% on short notice.
