Data Migration Lead - Remote

Overview

The Data Migration Lead is responsible for planning, managing, and executing the migration of healthcare data from legacy systems to new Electronic Health Record (EHR) platforms, playing a critical role in the success of digital transformation programmes within NHS trusts.

In Short

• Develop and lead the Data Migration Strategy and Plan.
• Deploy and manage the transformation software and tools.
• Manage data migration sub-workstreams aligned with clinical workflows.
• Oversee data quality assurance, validation, and cleansing processes.
• Coordinate with clinical teams, IT, and third-party suppliers.
• Lead risk and issue management related to data migration.
• Facilitate stakeholder meetings and ensure effective communication.
• Monitor progress and report to programme boards and digital working groups.

Requirements

• Extensive experience in data migration and data quality roles, preferably within healthcare.
• Experience in leading data migration projects end-to-end.
• Strong understanding of NHS data models and statutory reporting.
• Experience with EHR systems, preferably Oracle Health (Cerner Millennium).
• Proven ability to manage complex stakeholder relationships.
• Knowledge of project management methodologies and tools.
• At least 3 years’ experience in Microsoft T-SQL Querying.
• Experience as a Data Analyst or Data Migration Specialist.
• Experience in a customer-facing/consultancy role.
• Strong MS Office skills.
