We are looking for an experienced DevOps Engineer to collaborate with the DevOps/Infrastructure team of one of our long-standing clients. Your main responsibility will be leading the transition from Docker Swarm to Kubernetes. This “greenfield” opportunity allows you to shape the architecture and influence strategic decisions with your ideas and expertise, not just your code. The client is one of the leading investment/asset management companies in the US.

You will be working with Space Inch teammates as well as client team members on this project. Space Inch team members partner with our client’s team to comprise a large portion of five different combined teams.

In Short

Integrate with the DevOps/Infra engineering team leading the Docker Swarm to Kubernetes transition
Shape technical architecture through active participation in strategic discussions
Ensure smooth mapping of Docker Swarm containers to Kubernetes
Build strong relationships with other engineering teams to show value
Expertise in GitHub CI/CD, container registries, upstream/downstream systems
Experience with Linux and scripting/programming in Python/Bash
Full-time availability (40 hours/week)
Normal working hours with occasional adjustments for client communication
Occasional travel may be required, including annual company retreats in Croatia

Requirements

Expertise in Kubernetes across multiple environments and regions
Experience with Azure DevOps, Artifacts, and Container Registry
Knowledge of Terraform
ServiceNow automation experience is a plus
