Accounting Team Leader - Remote

Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Accounting Team Leader to oversee and manage accounting processes while actively contributing to the team's success. This role requires a hands-on leader with strong GAAP analysis skills, excellent written and oral English, and exceptional Excel proficiency.

• Lead, train, and mentor the AP and AR Specialists.
• Supervise the processing of vendor invoices and payments.
• Ensure accurate payment application and reconciliation of vendor accounts.
• Oversee customer billing process and AR collections.
• Identify and implement efficiency improvements in AP and AR workflows.
• Provide regular reports on AP, AR, and cash flow trends.

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience in accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general accounting.
• Team leadership or management experience in a finance or accounting setting.
• Hands-on experience with vendor payments and AR collections.
• Proficiency in AP & AR systems (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite).
• Strong Excel skills, including data analysis and reporting.
• Excellent English communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Experience in a shared services or outsourced finance role.
• Familiarity with ERP system implementations is a plus.
