Touchstone Grader (Part-Time) - Remote

Overview

The Touchstone Grader role involves evaluating student submissions for content and adherence to grading rubrics while providing constructive feedback.

In Short

• Evaluate submitted student work based on grading rubrics.
• Provide constructive and supportive feedback to students.
• Check submissions for plagiarism and grammar issues.
• Participate in calibration efforts for quality consistency.
• Maintain confidentiality and sound judgment in decision-making.
• Utilize strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Required to have a Bachelor’s degree; Master’s preferred.
• Prior teaching experience in Critical Thinking and/or Philosophy is necessary.
• Must be able to manage time effectively and prioritize tasks.
• Travel may be required up to 10% of the time.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution.
• Experience in high school or post-secondary teaching.
• Strong computer skills (Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).
• Ability to maintain accurate records.
• Exhibit sound judgment in decision-making.
• Ability to cope with stressful situations.
• Dependable attendance and punctuality are essential.
• Ability to lift 25 lbs. as required.
• Must be able to work more than 40 hours per week when needed.
• Effective communication up and down the management chain.
