Skyven Technologies is seeking a skilled PLC Software Engineer to support the design, development, and deployment of control software for innovative steam-generating heat pump systems aimed at decarbonizing industrial heat.

In Short

Design, develop, and maintain PLC software for Siemens Simatic S7 PLCs.
Develop a version-controlled library of reusable Function Blocks and User-Defined Data Types.
Collaborate with mechanical and electrical teams to develop sequences of operation.
Integrate PID loops, sensors, and VFDs for continuous control applications.
Assist in bench testing and simulation efforts with the SCADA team.
Troubleshoot and resolve PLC software bugs during commissioning.
Support the development of custom automation tools.
Engage in true 0-to-1 software development for field-deployed systems.
Document guidelines for PLC library objects and code documentation.
Work within a dynamic engineering team focused on sustainability goals.

Requirements

Strong foundation in PLC programming.
Experience with Siemens S7 platforms.
Knowledge of PID loop tuning and sensor integration.
Desire to deepen expertise in controls engineering.
Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
