QA Tester | Minecraft (12-14 Month Contract) - Remote

Overview

SkyBox Labs is a game development studio recognized as one of BC's Top Employers (2025), currently co-developing Halo Infinite and working on projects in the Minecraft universe. They are looking for a QA Tester to join their Minecraft team on a 12-14 month contract.

In Short

• Test Minecraft across iOS, Android, and Windows platforms.
• Log and track bugs with clear, detailed reports.
• Execute test plans provided by the Senior QA Tester.
• Perform scripted, unscripted, and ad-hoc testing on daily builds.
• Collaborate with developers and external teams.
• Adapt to on-the-fly requests while handling daily build checks.
• Identify opportunities to improve testing workflows.

Requirements

• At least 1 year of experience in game QA testing.
• Strong bug writing and problem-solving skills.
• Familiarity with bug tracking software (Azure DevOps, Jira).
• Good technical understanding of game development workflows.
• Self-starter with strong communication skills.
• Comfortable working in a hybrid team setting.
• Eager to learn and adaptable.
