Senior Security Engineer - Remote

Overview

This is a pivotal, first-time hire for a Security Engineer dedicated to proactively safeguarding our platform, cloud, and data infrastructure. This builder role within the Platforms team is crucial for designing and implementing foundational security controls, policies, and automation.

In Short

• Lead the implementation of security controls across cloud infrastructure.
• Create and operationalize security policies and benchmarks.
• Build and maintain security-relevant Terraform modules.
• Embed security checks into CI/CD pipelines.
• Design secure patterns for identity and access management.
• Enhance application-level security controls.
• Develop security governance for AI/ML workflows.
• Collaborate with Platform and AI teams.
• Report to the VP of Engineering.
• Drive a culture of security within the engineering team.

Requirements

• 6+ years of hands-on experience in security or DevSecOps.
• Strong experience with Azure and/or AWS.
• Proficiency in automation and CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience with static code analysis and container scanning.
• Knowledge of regulatory concepts like SOC2 and GDPR.
• A builder mentality focused on creating automated solutions.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Willingness to learn about AI/ML security.
• Bonus: Experience with AI/ML workflows.
