Principal Engineer, Cloud SRE/DevOps - Remote

Overview

As a Cloud SRE/DevOps Engineer on the Forge team, you will be responsible for optimizing Forge’s cloud deployments and owning the processes that enable customers to deploy their own Forge instances.

In Short

• Optimize cloud deployments of Forge for scalability and reliability.
• Design processes for external customers to deploy Forge instances.
• Manage internal Hivemind instances for large-scale simulation.
• Collaborate with software operations to enhance Forge’s scalability.
• Develop tools for canary deployments.
• Serve as a technical consultant for customer engagement.
• Create user-friendly documentation for deployment processes.
• Monitor and troubleshoot Forge deployments for performance.

Requirements

• 15 years of related experience with a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
• 10+ years in DevOps, Site Reliability Engineering, or cloud roles.
• Expertise in AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Strong experience with Kubernetes and containerization.
• Experience creating Helm charts.
• Understanding of infrastructure-as-code tools like Terraform.
• Proficiency in Python, Golang, or Bash.
• Experience optimizing CI/CD pipelines.
• Familiarity with networking concepts and monitoring tools.
• Experience with databases like Postgres.
