The Serve fleet has been delighting merchants, customers, and pedestrians along the way in Los Angeles while doing commercial deliveries. We’re looking for talented individuals who will grow robotic deliveries from surprising novelty to efficient ubiquity.

In Short

• Lead structured Failure Analysis (FA) efforts on robotic systems and subassemblies.
• Serve as the technical lead for resolving complex electrical issues.
• Author and present FA reports aligning stakeholders on findings.
• Drive Engineering Change Orders (ECOs) for electrical design improvements.
• Maintain and improve electrical documentation.
• Collaborate with various engineering teams to resolve issues.
• Partner with Manufacturing and Supply Chain to improve yield.
• Lead qualification efforts for alternate components and suppliers.
• Support and direct electrical bring-up and debug across robot subassemblies.
• Identify initiatives for cost reduction and reliability improvement.
• Mentor junior engineers and provide technical oversight.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in electrical design or sustaining engineering.
• Proven experience with structured FA techniques.
• Solid understanding of circuit design, including sensors and power electronics.
• Skilled in use of lab tools like oscilloscopes and multimeters.
• Proficient in ECAD tools and PLM systems.
• Experience with EMI/ESD troubleshooting.
• Hands-on experience with robotic systems preferred.
• Effective communicator with collaboration skills.
• Familiarity with manufacturing processes for PCBAs.
