Accountant IV - Remote

Overview

The Accountant IV will participate in accounting functions within in the bank with a focus on the bank's loan portfolio. This role involves ensuring accurate financial reporting, compliance with regulatory requirements, and providing support for financial decision-making.

In Short

• Oversee the accounting for all loan transactions.
• Ensure accurate recording and reconciliation of loan accounts in the general ledger.
• Prepare and review loan-related financial statements and reports.
• Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
• Ensure compliance with GAAP and regulatory requirements.
• Develop and maintain internal controls related to loan accounting processes.
• Conduct regular audits to ensure compliance with internal policies.
• Work closely with the Assistant Controller and finance team.
• Provide support to loan officers regarding loan accounting matters.
• Participate in cross-functional projects as needed.

Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting.
• Experience in bank accounting preferred.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and regulatory requirements.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
