Vehicle Cost Engineer - Remote

Overview

The Vehicle Cost Engineer (VCE) is responsible for managing the overall vehicle cost definition and cost management process from initial concept to the end of life for a vehicle program.

In Short

• Manage vehicle level cost program from concept to end of life.
• Develop component level cost targets.
• Apply reference vehicle data and Low Cost Country savings.
• Understand vehicle construction by systems and subsystems.
• Identify and propose design alternatives to meet cost targets.
• Lead cross functional team reviews of cost status.
• Minimum of 5 years of automotive industry experience required.
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Finance required.
• Excellent communication and relationship building skills.
• Ability to manage change effectively.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering or Finance.
• 5 years of experience in automotive industry at OEM or large tier 1.
• Experience in Engineering Program Management or Vehicle Program Management.
• Ability to present ideas to all levels of management.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
