Design and Release Engineer - Powertrain - Remote

Overview

The Design and Release Engineer is responsible for the engineering, design, development, timing, and release of powertrain components, ensuring quality and feasibility throughout the process.

• Responsible for engineering and design of powertrain components.
• Development and validation of assigned components.
• Communicate technical product status and competitor benchmarking.
• Coordinate packaging with adjacent departments.
• Work with virtual validation groups to meet CAE scorecard.
• Maintain and update DVP&R and DFMEA.
• Support and manage suppliers for quality actions.
• Collaborate with local engineering teams and program science teams.
• Availability to travel sporadically.
• Advanced English proficiency required.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering required.
• 3-5 years of experience in the automotive industry.
• Design experience in powertrain and electrical components.
• Experience with Catia V5, NX, and Teamcenter.
• Familiarity with DFMEA, DVP&R, and validation plans.
• Legally authorized to work in Mexico.
