Automation QA Engineer - Remote

Overview

As an Automation QA Engineer at Search Atlas, you will play a critical role in ensuring our applications meet the highest standards of quality and reliability. You will work closely with the development team to design and implement robust testing frameworks, focusing on scalability and automation.

• Develop and maintain end-to-end test suites using Cypress and unit/integration tests with Jest.
• Design and execute automated API tests using Postman, validating integrations in React/Next.js applications.
• Perform in-depth testing of React and Next.js applications, including SSR and static site generation workflows.
• Set up and manage testing pipelines in GitLab for seamless test automation and reporting.
• Use tools like BrowserStack or Cypress plugins to ensure consistent performance across browsers.
• Generate detailed test reports and integrate results into GitLab for team visibility and continuous improvement.
• Work closely with developers to identify and fix bugs early in the development cycle.

Requirements

• Proficiency with Cypress and Jest for end-to-end, unit, and integration testing.
• Advanced knowledge of JavaScript and TypeScript, including React component lifecycle and Next.js routing.
• Hands-on experience with Postman for manual and automated API testing.
• Deep understanding of testing React and Next.js applications, including SSR and static site generation.
• Proficiency in GitLab, including setting up and managing CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience with mocking APIs and creating reusable test scenarios.
• Familiarity with tools like BrowserStack to ensure compatibility across different browsers.
• Experience working in a fast pace start-up environment and ability to ramp up and contribute quickly.
