Overview

The Local Pathways Fellowship (LPF) program empowers young urban leaders globally to advance progress on Sustainable Development Goal 11 through training, support, and networking.

Requirements

  • Interest in sustainable development and the mission of SDSN Youth.
  • Knowledge in urban planning, sustainability, or related fields.
  • At least one year of relevant academic or professional experience.
  • Excellent organizational and leadership skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and problem-solving abilities.
  • Fluency in English and the local language of their city.
  • Stable internet connection for remote communication.
  • Ability to manage communication across time zones.
  • Time commitment to fulfill fellowship responsibilities.
  • Aged between 18-30 to be eligible.

SDSN Youth is a global initiative under the UN Sustainable Development Solutions Network, dedicated to enhancing quality education through the Global Schools Program. This program aims to transform learning by equipping students with the values and skills necessary to navigate an increasingly complex world. By providing educators with free tools, frameworks, and training, SDSN Youth fosters innovative teaching methods and promotes sustainable development in classrooms worldwide. The organization operates as a community of volunteers, educators, and school leaders, working collaboratively to support UNESCO’s Education for Sustainable Development goals.
