Senior Business Intelligence/Data Warehouse Specialist - Remote

Overview

Savan is seeking a Senior Business Intelligence/Data Warehouse Specialist to lead a data integration and analytics modernization effort in support of the National Park Service (NPS). This senior-level role will design and implement scalable geospatial and alphanumeric data lakes and warehouses, automate ETL/ELT pipelines, and deliver actionable business intelligence products—such as Power BI dashboards and ArcGIS web maps—to support self-service analytics and resource vulnerability assessments across the enterprise.

In Short

• Lead the development of an enterprise data integration strategy.
• Conduct data discovery with source system owners.
• Design and implement logical and physical data models.
• Build and manage cloud/hybrid data lakes and warehouses.
• Automate ETL/ELT pipelines using Azure Data Factory and Python.
• Prototype and publish dashboards and maps using Power BI and ArcGIS.
• Define and enforce metadata and data quality standards.
• Evaluate and recommend improvements to BI and mapping platforms.
• Coordinate with developers and data governance staff.
• Support stakeholder communication through milestone briefings.

Requirements

• 5–10 years of experience building enterprise-scale data warehouses.
• Proven experience delivering dashboards and visualizations.
• Proficiency in data warehousing tools (SQL Server, PostgreSQL).
• Experience with Modern Data Stack concepts.
• Strong background in data integration and BI/reporting tools.
• Bachelor’s degree in Data Science or related field.
