Software Engineer - Fire Protection - Remote

Overview

Ferguson is seeking a Software Engineer to join their Fire Design team, responsible for software development in support of business systems focused on customer and supplier facing systems.

In Short

• Perform coding, debugging, testing, and troubleshooting throughout the development process.
• Build and conduct reviews, demos, and presentations.
• Identify best practices for process improvement.
• Undertake code reviews and address feedback.
• Drive unit tests and troubleshoot issues.
• Contribute across the software development lifecycle.
• Translate complex data requirements into technology solutions.
• Participate in proof of concepts for feasibility.
• Support full end-to-end application lifecycle.
• Collaborate with Business Analysts and QAs for test plans.

Requirements

• 5+ years of proven experience in Software Development.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science or related field preferred.
• Experience in .NET programming with proficiency in C# or VB.NET.
• Working knowledge of database normalization and relational database structures.
• Knowledge of cloud computing, specifically Microsoft Azure.
• Experience with Enterprise Resource Planning software.
