Overview

As a Fullstack Contentful Platform Engineer at Robots & Pencils, you will help architect, implement, and scale a modern digital experience platform that powers interoperable web, mobile, and kiosk applications across a multi-venue hospitality and entertainment environment.

• Build and maintain scalable Contentful-driven backend and API-enabled systems supporting web, mobile, and kiosk applications.
• Develop extensions, automation, CI/CD pipelines, schema migration scripts, and operational tooling.
• Implement composable architecture patterns for reliable content experiences.
• Integrate Contentful with front-end applications and external platforms.
• Optimize caching and performance using modern architecture patterns.
• Ensure stability across development, testing, staging, and production environments.
• Monitor platform behavior and improve operational resilience.
• Document reusable patterns and system behaviors for internal teams.
• Participate in planning and agile cycles for iterative delivery.
• Collaborate with UX, product, engineering, and content teams.

Requirements

• 5+ years of fullstack engineering experience with JavaScript/TypeScript, Node.js, React, or Next.js.
• Hands-on experience with Contentful APIs and GraphQL.
• Experience building CI/CD pipelines across multiple environments.
• Familiarity with cloud-native delivery and observability tooling.
• Experience collaborating across multi-disciplinary teams.
