Remote Group Therapist

Overview

This position is responsible for providing direct service to patients in the form of primarily group and individual therapy in a substance use disorder outpatient setting.

In Short

• Provide group and individual therapy to patients.
• Create a warm and positive atmosphere for patients and staff.
• Document patient services based on the care plan.
• Identify and manage patients' physical, psychological, social, and spiritual needs.
• Work in compliance with applicable laws and company policies.
• Participate in team scheduling and maintain confidentiality.

Requirements

• Knowledge in substance use disorders and recovery support services.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Ability to monitor patient progress and intervene as needed.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.
• Education and experience in counseling techniques.
• Willingness to seek licensure in Tennessee or Virginia.
• One year of experience working with substance use disorder populations.
• Good judgment and decision-making skills.
• Commitment to follow-through and results.
• Ability to establish effective working relationships.
