Accountant & Bookkeeper - Remote

Overview

This fully remote role is for an Accountant & Bookkeeper who will manage day-to-day accounting tasks for a portfolio of UK clients, ensuring accurate financial records and reporting.

In Short

• Handle day-to-day accounting for UK clients.
• Code and categorize transactions in Xero or QuickBooks.
• Reconcile bank accounts weekly.
• Process sales invoices, purchase invoices, and expense claims.
• Support VAT return preparation and filing.
• Prepare monthly management accounts for senior review.
• Work with a UK-based accounting practice.
• Flexible hours with at least 3 hours overlap with UK GMT or US EST.
• Salary range of $3,000–$4,500 USD/month.
• Opportunities for progression to senior accountant.

Requirements

• Solid double-entry bookkeeping and accounting fundamentals.
• Proficiency in Xero, QuickBooks, or Sage.
• Accurate and deadline-driven.
• Good written English for client-facing work.
• ACCA, ACA, CIMA, or studying towards any of these is a plus.
• Experience with UK VAT and payroll is advantageous.
• Background in an accounting practice environment is preferred.
