Security Application Engineer - Remote

Overview

As a Security Application Engineer at Remo, you will help build secure systems, proactively detect threats, and guide teams in secure development practices.

In Short

• Continuously monitor infrastructure and applications for threats and vulnerabilities.
• Own and evolve security architecture across GCP and GKE.
• Review and secure Terraform-based infrastructure changes.
• Develop response playbooks and lead incident response efforts.
• Run red-team-style exercises to enhance defenses.
• Correlate data to detect anomalies and potential compromises.
• Perform continuous penetration testing of infrastructure.
• Secure applications and APIs by implementing security controls.
• Integrate security tooling into CI/CD pipelines.
• Collaborate on secure coding standards and architecture reviews.

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience in cybersecurity engineering.
• Experience in startup environments or leading security initiatives.
• Strong knowledge of DevSecOps principles.
• Familiarity with compliance frameworks like HIPAA and NIST.
• Hands-on experience with Datadog SIEM and cloud security controls.
• Experience with Terraform and Google Cloud Platform.
• Knowledge of offensive security and penetration testing.
• Ability to secure modern web applications.
• Experience with SAST, IAST, and API security.
• Strong understanding of CI/CD security pipelines.
