Site Reliability Engineer - Remote

Overview

As part of the Platform Engineering department, the SRE team is designing, building, scaling and maintaining the multi-cloud platform for hosting internal and external services such as the Elastic Cloud and Serverless. This includes developing new software and tools that support the rest of the infrastructure to rapidly deploy products.

In Short

• Lead technical initiatives to improve the reliability of the global Elastic infrastructure.
• Contribute to SRE engineering through auto-remediation and system engineering.
• Develop and maintain software, tooling, and automations for scaling demands.
• Champion collaboration and operational excellence.
• Respond to major incidents and participate in on-call rotation.

Requirements

• Experience operating production services with a focus on reliability.
• Background in software engineering, ideally with public cloud and Kubernetes experience.
• System administration experience on Linux distributed systems.
• Outstanding interpersonal skills and ability to work in distributed teams.
