Principal DevOps Engineer - Team Lead - Remote

Overview

The Principal DevOps Engineer will lead a team in delivering best practice architectures and solutions in a fully remote environment, focusing on AWS cloud environments.

In Short

• Lead the design and implementation of application environment infrastructure in AWS.
• Manage DevOps team projects and scrum activities.
• Drive best practices for Infrastructure as Code and CI/CD pipelines.
• Create runbook documentation for system maintenance.
• Lead system monitoring efforts using DataDog.
• Optimize performance and cost within the environment.
• Assist in Incident Management processes.
• Support a 24x7 on-call rotation.

Requirements

• 10+ years in DevOps processes related to containerized workloads.
• 8+ years of system administration experience with Linux/Windows.
• 8+ years of experience with Infrastructure as Code using Terraform or AWS CloudFormation.
• 5+ years of experience as a technical leader.
• Experience with AWS Organizations and IAM configurations.
• Experience with advanced AWS networking topologies.
• Experience leading decentralized teams.
• Experience in HIPAA regulated environments is a plus.
• Experience with event-driven architectures is a plus.
• Experience supporting relational databases in AWS is a plus.
