Payroll Specialist - Remote

Overview

We are looking for a knowledgeable Payroll Specialist to process and manage the company’s payroll, ensuring personnel receives the correct compensation in a timely manner.

In Short

• Gather information on hours worked for each employee
• Calculate wages incorporating overtime, deductions, and bonuses
• Receive approval from management for payments
• Prepare and execute pay orders electronically or distribute paychecks
• Administer payment statements to personnel
• Process taxes and employee benefits payments
• Track compensation rates and new hire information
• Address payroll-related issues from employees
• Prepare reports for management and finance

Requirements

• Proven experience as payroll specialist or manager
• Solid understanding of accounting fundamentals
• Knowledge of legislation and regulations
• Proficient in MS Office and payroll software
• Trustworthy with attention to confidentiality
• Outstanding organizational ability
• Excellent communication skills
• High school diploma or equivalent; BSc/BA in business or accounting is a plus
