Network Security Engineer I - Remote

Overview

As a Rackspace Network Security Engineer, you’ll be a key element within our support infrastructure team and expected to provide a high level of technical support to our customers.

In Short

• Be the technical point of escalation to the Cloud Support and Engineering teams.
• Monitor and provide maintenance for all related infrastructure.
• Ensure the control, integrity, and accessibility of the cloud environment.
• Implement large, complex enterprise-class solutions.
• Lead tasks relating to system architecture enhancements.
• Provide technical expertise to a range of stakeholders.
• Collaborate with Account Managers to build strong customer relationships.
• Share knowledge with other Engineers and Administrators.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field preferred.
• Minimum of one year of relevant experience.
• Palo Alto Networks Certified Next-Generation Firewall Engineer certification preferred.
• Ability to work with F5 load balancers.
• Experience with Palo Alto firewalls.
• Knowledge of ethical hacking and secure coding practices.
• Advanced knowledge of virtualization technologies and operating systems.
• Experience with secure network architectures and application security.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Ability to make cost-benefit decisions.
