Senior, Staff, or Principal Platform Engineer - Remote

Overview

Quilter is seeking a Senior, Staff, or Principal-level Platform Engineer to join their team, focusing on transforming complex infrastructure into reliable building blocks for software engineers.

In Short

• Build developer-facing tooling, SDKs, and wrappers to simplify cloud processes.
• Design and enhance CI/CD pipelines for improved feedback and reliability.
• Deliver dashboards for observability on cost, reliability, and performance.
• Partner with teams to codify workflows into libraries and templates.
• Rebuild the workflow orchestration platform for AI workloads.
• Implement secure systems for secrets management and auditability.
• Define and enforce SRE practices including incident response.
• Shape the Platform team's standards and culture.

Requirements

• Strong software engineering background with production-quality Python (and ideally Typescript/Go).
• Experience building developer productivity tooling and CI/CD pipelines.
• Practical Kubernetes knowledge for designing and debugging workloads.
• Hands-on experience with Kubernetes and workflow platforms.
• Proficient in infrastructure-as-code and containerization (Docker, Terraform).
• Solid grounding in cloud infrastructure, preferably AWS.
• Familiarity with observability stacks like Prometheus and Grafana.
• Comfort operating in high-scale, compute-intensive environments.
• Bias toward building abstractions that enhance engineer productivity.
