On-Site Interpreter - Remote

Overview

Prisma International, Inc. (Prisma) is actively seeking qualified, professional Interpreters, to join our team as Independent Contractors. As an Interpreter at Prisma, you will be supporting our State of Washington client with on-site (in person) interpretation (OSI) assignments. There may be opportunities for over-the-phone (OPI) and/or video remote (VRI) assignments.

In Short

• Join Prisma International, Inc. as an Independent Contractor Interpreter.
• Provide on-site interpretation for clients in Washington State.
• Interpret between English and various languages including Spanish, Arabic, and more.
• Maintain high levels of customer service and professionalism.
• Follow ethical standards and compliance during interpretation.
• Experience in healthcare, legal, or government sectors is preferred.
• Background check required for eligibility.
• Opportunities for OPI and VRI assignments available.
• Deliver accurate concepts and meanings during conversations.
• Manage conversation flow and interject for clarification when necessary.

Requirements

• Experience with consecutive or simultaneous interpretation.
• Polite forms of expression and enunciation.
• Ability to deliver correct concepts and meanings.
• Excellent grammar, clarity, and tones in both languages.
• Experience in healthcare, legal, medical, government, or court industries.
• Ability to follow directions and manage conversation flow.
• Compliance with applicable ethics and standards.
• WSP background check required.
• Residency in Washington State.
• Fast-tracked screening for those with prior background checks.
