Overview

We are onboarding experienced Xhosa translators to join our independent contractor team. You will be providing written translation from English into Xhosa.

In Short

• Join our independent contractor team as a Xhosa translator.
• Provide written translation from English into Xhosa.
• Must be a U.S. citizen with 5 years of government agency translation experience.
• Accreditation or certification in translation is required.
• High proficiency in English and native Xhosa speaker.
• Experience with modern CAT tools and Adobe Acrobat.
• Work on an as-needed basis according to your availability.
• Adhere to project instructions and deadlines.
• Participate in quality management processes.
• Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.

Requirements

• 18+ years old.
• Must be a U.S. citizen.
• 5 years of experience with government agency translations.
• Accredited or certified by a translation organization.
• Willingness to abide by Prisma's Master Service Agreement.
• Proficient in English and a native Xhosa speaker.
• Reliable PC or laptop and high-speed internet connection.
• Experience with CAT tools (e.g., XTM, Trados).
• Ability to use Adobe's markup tools on PDFs.
