Product Designer - Remote

Overview

The Product Designer focuses on designing intuitive, inclusive, and empowering communication tools for individuals with complex communication needs.

In Short

• Designs user-centered interfaces for mobile AAC apps across iOS and Android platforms.
• Collaborates with AAC users, caregivers, clinicians, and internal teams.
• Creates wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity mockups using design tools.
• Ensures compliance with accessibility standards.
• Conducts usability testing and iterates designs based on feedback.
• Works closely with developers to ensure accurate implementation of design features.
• Translates complex requirements into intuitive interfaces.
• Stays current with design trends and contributes to team knowledge sharing.
• Develops a UI/UX style guide for mobile applications.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Strong portfolio demonstrating inclusive design for mobile platforms.
• Proficiency in design tools such as Figma, Sketch, or Adobe XD.
• Solid understanding of user-centered design and interaction design.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Bachelor’s degree in design, HCI, Engineering, or Specialist Education.
• At least 3 years of experience in product design (UX/UI).
• 2 years of experience collaborating with cross-functional teams.
• Experience with accessibility standards and inclusive design.
• Knowledge of multilingual design and localization workflows.
• Experience working in agile development environments.
