Summer Intern, Facility Construction Support - Remote

Overview

The Operations Services Department (OSD) is looking for an intern to join their Facility Construction Support Division. This role involves supporting core business needs and overall agency goals, focusing on facility maintenance and construction.

In Short

• Work on process improvements using Microsoft products.
• Collaborate with construction personnel on project designs.
• Write RFIs for clarification on construction projects.
• Assist with project budgets and schedules.
• Prepare turnover documents for occupancy permits.
• Conduct internal construction inspections.
• Update inventory of the motor vehicle fleet.
• Data entry of completed work orders.

Requirements

• Enrollment at a college or university during the internship.
• Major in Engineering, Architecture, or related field.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong experience with Microsoft products.
• Experience with maintenance management systems is a plus.
• Ability to interact effectively with staff and the public.
• Excellent organizational skills.
• Problem-solving and critical thinking abilities.
