Intern, Budget & Finance - Remote

Overview

The World Trade Center (WTC) department is looking for an intern to join their team in the Budget & Financial Unit to support our team’s goal of managing our department and agency’s resources.

In Short

• Intern position in the Budget & Finance Unit at the World Trade Center.
• Assist with monthly financial close and reporting cycle.
• Prepare monthly revenue and expense accruals.
• Assist in variance analysis and ad-hoc requests.
• Review and input invoices into accounting software.
• Support the Finance team with reconciliations.
• Help create the annual Operating Revenue & Expense Budget.
• Internship requires 29 hours per week.
• Remote work allowed one day per week.
• Internship duration from March to August 2026.

Requirements

• Enrollment at a college or university.
• Major in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or related field.
• Detail-oriented and organized.
• Strong communication skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint.
• Ability to work collaboratively.
• Self-driven and ambitious mindset.
