Remote Fire Protection Engineer

Overview

The Fire Protection Engineer will provide design plans and supervise all aspects of fire protection engineering works for Planate Management Group, a veteran-owned small business providing engineering services worldwide.

In Short

• Work under the direction of Managers on Fire Protection Engineering tasks.
• Recommend changes to procedures and gather engineering data.
• Perform standard fire protection design tasks.
• Review A/E drawings for compliance with codes and standards.
• Research codes and standards for code compliance.
• Develop reports and memos with assistance from other engineers.
• Conduct hazardous materials assessments.
• Expand technical and business skills.
• Perform other related duties as required.

Requirements

• Degree in a related field.
• Licensed Fire Protection Engineer or Certified Fire Protection Inspector preferred.
• Minimum five years of engineering experience.
• Ability to deliver complete design packages.
• Knowledge of regulatory requirements and industry standards.
• Familiarity with applicable codes and standards.
• Proficient communication skills.
• Computer literate with documentation and reports.
• Ability to work virtually through various platforms.
• Strong work ethic and desire to excel.
