Senior Backend Developer - Java Microservices API - Remote

Overview

We are seeking an experienced Sr. Developer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Java, API & Integration, Web Services, Spring, and Google Cloud Platform (GCP), and will be responsible for design and development of scalable applications and integrations.

• Development and architecture of scalable applications and services using Java.
• Design and develop robust APIs and integrations using RESTful services and microservices architectures.
• Collaborate with the DevOps team for CI/CD pipeline setup.
• Lead and mentor a team of developers.
• Integrate with third-party systems ensuring seamless API communication.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues.
• Stay updated with emerging technologies and introduce best practices.
• Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
• 10+ years of software development experience.
• 5+ years in a leadership role.

Requirements

• Strong experience in Java development (Core Java, Spring, Spring Boot).
• Hands-on experience in building and consuming RESTful APIs and SOAP Web Services.
• Solid experience working with Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• Experience in designing and deploying microservices.
• Experience with Git and GitLab.
• Proficiency with SQL databases.
• Experience working in Unix/Linux environments.
• Recent implementation/integration experience of payment apps.
• Familiarity with Kafka, NoSQL databases, Docker, and Kubernetes is a plus.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
