Overview

PeopleFun is seeking an experienced Principal Game Server Engineer to join the team behind our flagship title, Wordscapes, where you will be responsible for the server tech stack and collaborate with a cross-functional team to enhance gameplay for millions of players.

• Architect and implement core gameplay systems for Wordscapes.
• Own and maintain the server infrastructure.
• Write clean and scalable server code.
• Create technical and process documentation.
• Develop internal tools for customer support and liveops.

• Identify and address gaps in systems/processes.

Requirements

• 8+ years of professional server development experience.
• Extensive knowledge of cloud technologies (GCP, Azure, AWS).
• Experience with distributed systems and databases.
• Strong DevOps practices knowledge.
• Basic knowledge of game engines like Unity or Unreal.
• Ability to work collaboratively and communicate effectively.
