Instructional Specialist - Remote

Overview

As an Instructional Specialist at Participate Learning, you will provide supplemental instructional support and guidance to facilitate the successful integration of international educators in the K-12 setting, ensuring teacher success and retention through high-quality instructional support and professional development.

In Short

• Provide 1:1 virtual or on-site instructional support.
• Offer best-practice recommendations on classroom management and instructional strategies.
• Conduct school visits to observe instruction and provide feedback.
• Develop and facilitate professional learning sessions.
• Collaborate with district administrators and instructional teams.
• Support teachers through transitions and document concerns.
• Participate in teacher events and professional development sessions.
• Maintain clear communication with teachers and administrators.
• Exhibit professionalism and cultural competence.
• Travel up to 60% to schools and districts across Virginia.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree; advanced degree preferred.
• 3-5 years of teaching experience required.
• Experience with mentoring/coaching teachers.
• Knowledge of the U.S. education system.
• Strong leadership and organizational skills.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Passion for cultural awareness and international education.
• COVID-19 vaccine/booster required.
• Ability to work weekends and/or evenings as required.
