Survey Crew Chief - Remote

Overview

Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Survey Crew Chief to join our team! In this role, you will conduct construction layout and engineering survey services to support the delivery of the Edmonton Valley Line West LRT Project.

In Short

• Conduct topographic, engineering, and as-built surveys.
• Perform building and structural layout and quality control surveys.
• Manage earthwork surveys and cut-fill calculations.
• Collect field data using various survey instruments.
• Oversee quality control of data collection.
• Document field notes and complete rapid calculations.
• Mentor and train colleagues.
• Ensure environmental health and safety in the workplace.
• Maintain accountability for field survey work.
• Support project manager field direction and data accuracy.

Requirements

• 8 years’ experience in surveying.
• Knowledge of robotic total stations and GNSS technology.
• Minimum 2 years’ construction surveying experience.
• Proficient in MS Office and AutoCAD Civil 3D.
• Completion of a 2-year college program in geomatics technology.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong problem-solving skills.
• Valid Class 5 driver’s license.
• Ability to transport and carry field gear.
• Willingness to work in various weather conditions.
