As the DevOps/SRE Team Lead, you will lead a team of 5 DevOps/SRE engineers responsible for maintaining the infrastructure and tools that support the development of Parity’s Polkadot SDK. Your leadership and expertise will play a crucial role in advancing automation, enhancing efficiency, and optimising the performance of our entire technology stack.

Lead a team of DevOps engineers, providing guidance, mentorship, and support
Define and implement best practices for infrastructure automation, continuous delivery and cloud operations
Provide strategic direction and contribute to the overall technology roadmap
Drive the adoption of DevOps culture, practices, and tools across the organisation
Collaborate with software development teams to streamline the build, deployment, and release processes
Establish and maintain robust monitoring, alerting, and logging systems to ensure system reliability and availability
Continuously evaluate and implement new technologies and tools to improve efficiency and productivity
Liaise with stakeholders to gather requirements, prioritise projects, and communicate progress

Requirements

Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate others
Strong understanding of containerization technologies such as Docker and orchestration tools like Kubernetes
Experience with multiple cloud providers such as AWS, GCP, Azure, DigitalOcean, OVH, Scaleway, etc.
Experience leveraging Infrastructure as Code (eg. Terraform, Ansible) and GitOps (eg. ArgoCD, FluxCD) tooling.
Expertise in Linux-based systems
Proven experience managing infrastructure teams, and overseeing large scalable, resilient and observable systems
Strong communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills
