Linux Security Engineer/Developer - Remote

• Owl currently has openings for Mid-career and Senior SELinux Security Engineers.
• These are full-time, Software Engineering roles supporting our Professional Services division.
• Lead the way - push boundaries, offer ideas, create solutions.
• Develop security solutions using Linux and Android.
• Apply analysis, design, and implementation skills to develop, configure, and analyze Linux systems.
• Work in a team environment on multiple projects.
• Identify security vulnerabilities and provide innovative solutions.
• Secure Linux-based servers and troubleshoot Linux boot issues.
• Use collaborative software development tools and workflows.
• Gain deep knowledge of Linux OS security processes.

Requirements

• BS degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
• Minimum of 3 to 5 years’ experience in development, ideally in SELinux.
• Experience coding in C, Java, and scripting languages like Python.
• Familiarity with developing embedded software in a Linux environment.
• Solid understanding of the TCP/IP stack.
• Experience with Wireshark and analyzing PDU’s.
• Active security clearance is required for this position.
• Excellent communication skills (written and verbal).
• Familiarity with Linux administration and command line usage.
• Experience writing SELinux policy is a plus.
