Senior Software Engineer I, Infrastructure - Remote

Overview

As a Senior Software Engineer I, you will join a tight knit, passionate team, and lead the designs of Oscar's next generation of infrastructure platform, writing library and core code which powers thousands of applications across Oscar.

In Short

• Lead the planning, execution and release of complex technical projects.
• Collaborate with partners, product managers, and designers to solve challenging problems.
• Implement step-wise technical migrations of existing services and applications.
• Own small to medium features or infrastructure projects from technical design through completion.
• Become the expert on your team's business and technical domains.
• Work effectively across the codebase with appropriate guidance from code owners.
• Mentor engineers to help them design for stability, performance, and scalability.
• Compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Experience with technical contributions and building fault-tolerant software systems.
• Solid understanding of practical application of CS concepts.
• Consistently writes stable, correct, and maintainable code.
• Experience proposing, experimenting, and iterating on technologies.
