Senior Mortgage Underwriter - Remote

Overview

Orchard is looking for a Senior Mortgage Underwriter to join our expanding team. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring our loans meet GSE and internal loan requirements.

In Short

• Review Conventional Mortgage and communicate loan decisions and requirements.
• Maintain manager approved turn times on mortgage applications.
• Stay current on underwriting guidelines and mortgage compliance.
• Act as a mentor and coach to Loan Processors.
• Provide administrative support on special projects.
• Foster a team environment in line with Orchard Values and Culture.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience underwriting conventional 1st mortgage loans.
• 2+ years of underwriting appraisals.
• 2+ years of underwriting Self Employed borrowers.
• A DE from FHA and SARS with VA is required.
• Ability to manage and monitor your loan pipeline independently.
• Strong problem-solving and organizational skills.
• Ability to learn new technology systems quickly.
• Experience with Google Suites is helpful.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
