UX Designer - Product Experience - Remote

Overview

We’re looking for a UX Designer to help shape the future of our web and mobile applications. In this role, your work will directly impact how users interact with our tools, making complex processes feel simple and intuitive.

In Short

• Design Ookla apps across web and mobile, ensuring a seamless and engaging user experience.
• Create wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity UI designs to communicate solutions effectively.
• Translate user needs and business goals into intuitive, innovative design concepts from ideation to implementation.
• Collaborate with product managers, engineers, and stakeholders to define and prioritize UX features.
• Develop and maintain design systems and guidelines for consistency across products.
• Advocate for user-centered design while balancing usability with technical constraints.
• Stay updated on industry trends, tools, and best practices to enhance the design process.
• Facilitate design workshops and brainstorming sessions to drive creativity and innovation.

Requirements

• 5+ years in UX/UI design with a portfolio showcasing your creativity.
• Deep understanding of creating intuitive, engaging, and accessible user experiences.
• Ability to work effectively with developers, product managers, and key stakeholders.
• A strategic, open-minded approach to tackling complex design challenges.
• Experience building, maintaining, and evolving scalable design systems.
• Ability to analyze user feedback and behavioral data to optimize designs.
• Proficiency in industry-standard design and prototyping tools like Figma, Sketch, or similar.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills to effectively present design concepts and decisions.
